Spirituality, Social Support, and Survival in Hemodialysis Patients

This article from the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN) (volume 3, issue 6) describes a study about the relationship among spirituality, social support, and survival in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The study involved 66 patients who had ESRD and were treated with hemodialysis and found that "the effects of spirituality may be mediated by social support."
